When I placed my laptop on top, the size felt just right. It helped make the office look more complete and intentional. It has been useful for everyday work, not just for looks. Nothing about it feels fussy, which is exactly what I wanted. The piece has a solid feel but does not look visually heavy. I like having a place for paperwork and small items without the area looking messy. It looks more expensive than expected.

For a practical work surface, the top surface is useful. Very happy with it.
