  • Michael Aram Furniture is handcrafted, with no two pieces ever alike.
  • Each piece in this collection undergoes a series of casting, filing, welding and oxidation techniques.
  • The finish is a result of a specialized patination process.
  • Please note that the variations in texture and color are inherent to the handmade process and enhance the beauty of this piece.
  • Every piece is truly a work of art.
  • The Butterfly Ginkgo Furniture Collection celebrates the representation of flora as fauna. Michael's fascination with a particular type of ginkgo tree...Ginkgo Biloba, or "Butterfly Ginkgo", which grows with a double leaf reminiscent of a butterfly's wings...gave rise to a fantasia image of the plant.
  • Executed at the highest level of handcraftmanship, each piece is rendered in solid brass.
  • The pieces in the collection are a tour de force of Indian craft and capture the poetic spirit that is so deeply indicative of Michael's work.
  • "The first time I saw this tree, it literally looked like it had been completely overtaken by butterflies...as if they would all take flight the moment I walked too close or made a noise. The idea that the leaves could evoke the beauty of butterflies was magical to me, like trees that can metamorphose from flora to fauna in the blink of an eye."

Tailored details help it feel more intentional than a filler piece. The size works well without making the walkway feel tight. I especially like how the surface size keeps the piece from looking too plain. It works for everyday use but still looks nice when the room is cleaned up.

For the primary bedroom organization fix, this surface turned out to be the right call. It is easy to style and still handles everyday use.

I added this surface to the basement den as a simple upgrade. It gives the room a cleaner, more grounded look. Overall, it was a smart buy.

A family member suggested I look here for living room pieces. It feels like a thoughtful addition rather than an afterthought. The surface size makes the table feel more custom than generic. The scale feels right for the way we actually use the space.

Balanced proportions make this side table easy to place, and it made the seating area feel cleaner.
