  • Morris' bed, so called as it was the resting place of one of my favorite terrier dogs.
  • The bed in essence is inspired by the traditional beds of Mallorca, the beautiful Balearic island south of Spain.
  • These beds are traditionally simple, light and extremely comfortable.
  • The detail in the joinery is the point of the whole.

Because the tailored room needed an anchor, I noticed that the proportions feel right for a bigger mattress setup. The headboard gives the room structure without making the wall feel crowded. It pairs nicely with our dresser, which made the room feel more collected. Guests have noticed the room feels more finished, which is exactly what I wanted.

Inside the new-home sleeping space, this king bed gave the room a quiet designer look. The footprint is sensible, especially for a bedroom that still needs walking space. Great choice for a bedroom.

Inside the beach house sleeping space, I noticed that the size makes the bedroom feel like a proper suite. The headboard feels comfortable enough for reading before sleep. I wanted something that would not need replacing in a year, and this feels like that kind of piece. I was hoping for a durable, good-looking bed, and this delivered on both.

Once this bed frame was in the living room, the whole setup felt more intentional. It gives the bedroom a calmer feel. It feels like something we will use for years.

For a cozier feel in the home library, this bedroom piece was surprisingly easy to love. The proportions work well with our bedding. It is both practical and nice to look at.
