The Cube Chandelier from Chelsea House turns mathematical precision into artistic expression. Lisa Kahn's design places five rotating rectangular frames in an orbital arrangement, creating a sense of dynamic movement frozen in time. Each consecutive frame appears to rotate at a precise angle, generating a hypnotic spiral effect when viewed from below. The centered candle cluster provides both structural integrity and illumination. This chandelier experiments with negative space, allowing viewers to appreciate the framework's precise geometry from multiple angles. Kahn's architectural background is evident in the mathematical precision of each frame's placement. The open composition invites light to play throughout the fixture rather than containing it.
