Almost retro in my viewpoint as I grew up in a time when these were rattan was commonplace. Since these were assembled and showcased over the Holidays, we kept getting more and more comments on how nice they were and how cool and high end. When we were shopping in stores after the Holidays some major Funiture brands are bringing this style back so we feel at the peek of fashionable home decor. They are heavy duty too and will comfortable hold a 320lb person with no problem. I was weary about the rattan weave as far as fragility and over aggressive back stretching, but they have shown no weakness. Great chairs! Comfy too!
