The Aire Pendant from Faro Barcelona shows off an ephemeral sphere that floats like an air bubble. Designer Hector Serrano combined 3D printing techniques with a focus on sustainability, using recycled plastic material to build up its translucent shade layer by layer. The translucent bubble surrounds a smaller steel light housing, delivering a focused spot of task light through a small opening at the base, accompanied by a gentle glow shed through the sides. The expressive contemporary design shines as a single installation or as a set of several lights arranged across a larger area.
